Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how THRYVE (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the THRYVE Android mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
THRYVE is a personal wellness app that includes features such as journaling, gratitude tracking, intermittent fasting tools, and “Future Me” messages. This policy applies to the App published under the package name com.thryve.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address and display name when you register or sign in
- Authentication identifiers if you sign in with Google
- Profile information you choose to provide
Content you create in the App
- Journal entries, tags, moods, and related metadata
- Photos, videos, and voice recordings attached to journal entries
- Gratitude entries and milestones
- Fasting sessions, goals, and preferences
- “Future Me” letters and scheduled delivery settings
- Optional location data if you attach location to a journal entry (only when you grant permission)
Device and usage information
- Basic device and app information needed for the App to function (for example, OS version, app version)
- Crash and usage analytics through Firebase Analytics (Google), in aggregated form where possible
- Network connectivity status for sync features
Permissions
The App may request access to:
- Camera and microphone — to capture photos, video, or audio for journal entries
- Notifications — for reminders, fasting alerts, and “Future Me” delivery
- Location — only if you choose to add location to journal content
- Internet — for account sign-in and optional cloud sync
You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings; some features may not work without them.
3. How we use information
- Create and manage your account
- Provide App features and store your content on your device
- Optionally sync your data to the cloud so you can restore it on a new device
- Send local notifications you configure (fasting, Future Me, etc.)
- Improve stability, security, and features (including analytics)
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
4. Where data is stored
- On your device: Much of your content is stored locally in an on-device database.
- Google Firebase: If you are signed in, account data and optional cloud backup/sync may be stored using Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and (when enabled) Firebase Cloud Storage. These services are operated by Google LLC.
Data sent to Google is protected in transit using encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in these cases:
- Service providers: Google (Firebase, Google Sign-In) to operate authentication, sync, analytics, and hosting of legal pages
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or security
- With your direction: If you use a feature that explicitly shares content (for example, future social or challenge features), only as described in the App at the time of use
6. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in Firebase and our records within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where we must retain data for legal compliance.
Content stored only on your device remains until you uninstall the App or clear app data.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: View or update profile details in App settings where available
- Permissions: Control camera, microphone, location, and notifications in device settings
- Sign out: Use Settings → Log out to end your session on the device
- Deletion: In the app, go to Settings → Delete account, or use our account deletion page
- Analytics: You may limit ad/analytics tracking in your device’s Google settings where applicable
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, delete, or port your data. Contact us to exercise those rights.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections to our cloud services and access controls on Firebase data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. International users
If you use the App from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where Google and our service providers operate (including the United States).
11. Final policy
This Privacy Policy is the final version currently in effect for THRYVE.
